What age can my child start drama?
Children can start drama at Studio Wolfe from age 5 with Wolfe Pups. This class is designed for Junior and Senior Infants — no previous drama experience is needed. Children are introduced to drama through games, stories and creative play in a warm, supportive environment.
Where are drama classes held?
Studio Wolfe offers kids drama classes at three locations across Cork. Douglas is our headquarters and runs drama Monday to Saturday. Donnybrook runs drama classes on Fridays. Blarney runs drama classes on Tuesdays. All three locations offer Wolfe Pups, Junior Drama and Intermediate Drama for ages 5 to 12.
What if my child doesn’t like it?
We understand starting something new can be daunting. We offer a refund policy up to the third week of term — if your child decides the class isn’t for them after three sessions, we’ll refund the balance. Most children settle in within the first two or three weeks once they start making friends.
How much do kids drama classes cost?
Kids drama classes at Studio Wolfe start from €155 per term. There are two terms per year, each with 15 weeks of classes. Visit our enrolment page for current pricing and availability.
Do kids get to perform?
Yes! Drama students perform in two shows per year — an in-house production for parents and families at the end of Term 1, and an end-of-year show at the Everyman Cork. Children get the experience of performing on a professional stage with real lighting and an audience.
Who teaches drama at Studio Wolfe?
Studio Wolfe was founded by Careen Wolfe, who holds a Master’s Degree in Dance and is a graduate of both University College Cork and the University of Limerick. She holds a Fellowship and Licentiate in Contemporary Modern Jazz with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), is fully qualified with the United Teachers of Dance (UTD), and holds her FDI with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Declan Wolfe also leads drama classes. Every class has a minimum of two qualified teachers present.
Does Studio Wolfe offer dance and singing too?
Yes — Studio Wolfe offers dance classes for ages 3 to 18 and one-to-one singing lessons from age 7. Dance and drama are available at all three locations (Douglas, Donnybrook and Blarney), and singing is available at our Douglas headquarters.
