Where Douglas kids discover a lifelong love of dance
From their very first steps at age 3 to performing on stage as a teenager, children at Studio Wolfe Douglas grow in confidence, creativity and friendships through dance. Founded by Careen Wolfe — who holds a Master’s Degree in Dance and is qualified with the IDTA, UTD and ISTD — our purpose-built studios have been the home of dance in Douglas since 2003.
More than just dance classes in Douglas
Every class at Studio Wolfe Douglas is designed to give your child skills that go far beyond the studio. Our dancers have represented Ireland at the Dance World Cup and achieved outstanding results in IDTA examinations.
Real confidence
Children learn to perform, speak up and believe in themselves. Parents consistently tell us their child’s confidence transformed within weeks of starting.
Lasting friendships
Classes are grouped by age so children learn alongside their peers. Many of our students’ closest friendships start in the studio.
Expert teachers
Every class has a minimum of two qualified teachers. Our team brings stage experience and a genuine passion for helping children grow.
A class for every age
From Little Stars at age 3 to Senior Dance at 18, your child can grow with us through every stage. No one gets left behind or held back.
Every dance style your child needs — right here in Douglas
Our Douglas headquarters offers the widest range of dance classes across all three locations — from first steps at age 3 to advanced training for teens.
Little Stars
The perfect first step into dance. Our preschool programme introduces the youngest dancers to rhythm, coordination and creative movement through fun, imaginative classes. Little Stars is designed to spark a lifelong love of performing arts in a warm, playful setting — building confidence, social skills and body awareness through music and movement.
No experience needed. Children learn through games, stories and simple choreography, guided by two teachers in every class. Many of our Little Stars go on to join Junior Level 1 Dance when they start school.

“Our daughter Aoife started Little Stars when she was three and it was the best decision we’ve made. She was so shy at first — she wouldn’t even let go of my hand. After a few weeks she was running in the door. Now she’s in Junior Level 1 and talks about her dance friends all week. Her confidence has completely transformed.”Claire Moloney
“We started last week and my child is so happy. Her words: ‘Mom, they make dance fun and enjoyable for all ages.’ What else to say — well done Studio Wolfe. You made one 8-year-old so happy.”Kristina Cukrov
Common questions about our dance classes in Douglas
Does my child need experience to start?
Not at all. Most of our students start with zero experience. Classes from Little Stars through to Intermediate level are completely beginner-friendly. If your child has danced at another school, we’ll find the right level for them.
Where exactly is Studio Wolfe in Douglas?

What if my child doesn’t like it?
We understand starting something new can be daunting. We offer a refund policy up to the third week of term — if your child decides the class isn’t for them after three sessions, we’ll refund the balance. Most children settle in within the first two or three weeks once they start making friends.
What days and times do classes run?
Dance classes at Douglas run Monday to Saturday. Weekday classes run from 3.15pm, with the last classes finishing at 9.30pm. Saturday classes run from 9am to 5.30pm. Specific time slots for each class are published when enrolment opens each term.
What should my child wear?
For their first few classes, comfortable clothes are perfect — leggings, a t-shirt, bare feet or ballet shoes. We recommend attending a few classes before purchasing the Studio Wolfe uniform. Uniform details are shared via the Studio Wolfe App.
