Youth Performance Groups
Musical Theatre at Studio Wolfe brings together dance, singing, and acting in one dynamic performance-focused programme. Designed for students aged 10–18, these groups are an optional add-on for students already enrolled in our regular classes.
Students work on exciting productions such as Hairspray, High School Musical, Matilda, Legally Blonde, Grease, and Seussical, rehearsing choreography, song, and character development under the guidance of our experienced instructors. Classes take place on Sunday evenings at our Douglas studio, giving students a structured, professional rehearsal experience in a fun and collaborative environment.
Our Approach
At Studio Wolfe, we believe great musical theatre performers develop their strongest skills by training in dance, drama, and singing as individual disciplines.
Students build technique, creativity, and confidence in their weekly classes, developing strong foundations in movement, acting, and vocal performance.
Our Musical Theatre groups then bring these students together to combine those skills in exciting stage productions. By drawing on the training they receive in their regular classes, students are able to fully explore choreography, character, and storytelling through song.
This approach allows students to experience the thrill of musical theatre while continuing to develop as confident, skilled performers in each area of performing arts.

Musical Theatre — your questions
What age group is Musical Theatre for?
Musical Theatre is designed for students aged 10–18. Classes are grouped to match ability, and members typically already attend at least one regular dance, drama or singing class each week.
What should my student wear to class?
Comfortable clothing or dancewear that allows for full movement.
How long is each Musical Theatre class, and what's covered?
Each class runs for 1.5 hours, once a week during term. Classes combine singing, dance and acting — the classic triple-threat skillset — working on repertoire from musicals and developing confident, versatile performers.
Where is Musical Theatre held?
Musical Theatre runs exclusively at our Studio Wolfe Douglas studios.
Does my student need to already dance, sing and act to join?
Musical Theatre members are required to also take at least one of Dance, Drama or Singing Lessons at Studio Wolfe. We then cast the musical production to play to each student's strengths, giving them a role where they can really shine. What matters most is enthusiasm and a willingness to have a go.
How do I enrol in Musical Theatre?
When auditions open, current Studio Wolfe students will be notified via the Studio Wolfe App, and full audition and rehearsal details are posted on our website and social channels. If you have questions in the meantime, use our enquiry form.
