Our Junior Level 2 dance classes in Cork are a fun, challenging, and inspiring next step for children aged 7–9 (1st–3rd class). Designed for young dancers ready to build on their skills from Junior Level 1, these classes help children develop confidence, coordination, musicality, and performance ability in a supportive and creative environment. Classes are available at all three Studio Wolfe locations: Douglas, Donnybrook, and Blarney, making it easy for your child to join the fun close to home.
Fun, Engaging, and More Challenging Classes
Each 1-hour session is packed with dance games, warm-ups, and choreographed routines using Modern Theatre Jazz and Musical Theatre. With faster, more complex combinations and routines, Junior Level 2 dancers are challenged to develop technique, rhythm, and musicality, while still enjoying the playful, imaginative elements that make Studio Wolfe classes so engaging.
Build Confidence, Friendships, and Performance Skills
Junior Level 2 dancers continue to develop coordination, balance, and confidence, while making new friends and enjoying the excitement of performance. Students perform in Dance Extravaganza at MTU Arena and Cork Opera House shows, gaining valuable stage experience and the thrill of showcasing their progress.

Progression Pathway
Junior Level 2 is a natural step toward Intermediate and Senior dance classes. As children grow, they may also choose to join optional musical theatre groups, dance teams, or additional performance projects for those looking for more than one class per week.

Students in Junior Level 2 wear the purple Studio Wolfe uniform with leggings and jazz shoes, helping them feel part of our dance community while clearly marking their progression.

What age group is Junior Level 2 Dance for?
Junior Level 2 is designed for children aged 7–9, typically in 1st to 3rd class. Dancers progress naturally from Junior Level 1, and new students with no prior experience are welcome too.
What should my child wear to class?
To start with, comfortable clothing like leggings and a t-shirt is perfect. We sell the official Junior Level 2 dance uniform in studio, with uniform shop dates throughout the year.
How long is each Junior Level 2 class, and what's covered?
Each class runs for one hour, once a week during term. Classes focus on Modern Theatre Jazz and Musical Theatre, building technique, flexibility, coordination, choreography and confidence on stage. Many students at this age also add a second discipline like Junior Ballet, Acro or Hip Hop.

Does my child need previous dance experience to start Junior Level 2?
Not at all — Junior Level 2 is beginner-friendly and suitable for children with no prior training as well as those progressing from Junior Level 1.
