Intermediate Dance in Cork – For 10–12 Year Olds
Our Intermediate Dance classes in Cork are a high-energy, one-hour class designed for students aged 10–12 (4th–6th class) who are passionate about dance and ready to take their skills to the next level. Classes are available at all three Studio Wolfe locations: Douglas, Donnybrook, and Blarney, making it easy for your child to join in the fun close to home.
Refine Technique, Build Performance Skills
Intermediate Dance follows a specialist curriculum created by Careen Wolfe, designed to develop technically strong dancers with excellent stage presence. Each class begins with a fast-paced warm-up to current age-appropriate music, followed by dance games, syllabus exercises for leaps, turns, jumps, and dynamic, challenging routines. Students improve flexibility, coordination, strength, and precision while still having fun and enjoying creative expression.
Confidence, Teamwork, and Stage Experience
Intermediate dancers continue to develop confidence, self-esteem, and teamwork, building friendships while learning to perform with energy and conviction. Students have the opportunity to showcase their progress in Dance Extravaganza at MTU Arena and Cork Opera House shows, gaining valuable stage experience in prestigious venues.
Taught by Professional, Experienced Teachers
Classes are led by professional performers with extensive experience teaching young dancers. Our teachers combine technical expertise with a nurturing, high-energy approach, inspiring every student to reach their potential and love every minute of dance.
Progression Pathway
Intermediate Dance is the natural next step toward Senior Dance classes, preparing students for more advanced choreography, performance, and technical training as they grow.
